How to romance Wilhelmina in Dragon’s Dogma 2

In Dragon’s Dogma 2, it can be difficult to follow the few romantic quest lines offered in the game, as some quests are completely missable. With this in mind, it can be as difficult to romance Wilhelmina as it is to woo Ulrika. Fortunately, you can kick-start the process if you meet Wilhelmina during the A disturbing encounter quest for Brant, provided you’ve met a handful of requirements first.

Requirements

Before you can access Wilhelmina’s questline in Dragon’s Dogma 2, you’ll need to complete several of Captain Brant’s quests. This includes:

  • Disa’s plot
  • The caged magistrate
  • The stolen throne
  • The Masquerade ballAlthough not a quest in itself, it does offer the opportunity to get in touch with Wilhelmina and increase your affinity.
  • Sample cull
  • The nameless village
  • Every rose has its thorn

Remark: Just as it is essential not to continue with the Feast of deception If you want to take the next step with Ulrika in DD2, you’ll also need to be careful not to complete the quest if you hope to advance your relationship with Wilhelmina. If you undertake this quest too early, Wilhelmina will not want to leave Bordelrie. In turn, she will no longer be romantic.

Wilhelmina’s romantic quest

To successfully complete Wilhelmina’s romantic questline in Dragon’s Dogma 2, you’ll need to stop completing Feast of Deception for Brant. Instead of continuing with this quest, you meet Wilhelmina at the Rose Chateau Bordelrie. If you speak to her here, she will tell you how she differs from her regular clientele. At this point you can sleep to move on and talk to her again, starting the essential quest Every rose has its thorn.

Here’s the catch: If you accept, you must complete this quest within three in-game days. If you don’t, the quest will expire, just like your relationship. That said, it’s best to move on from tasks and events in one fell swoop.

To work

This starts with a scene in which Allard scolds Wilhelmina. Then she will tell you that she wants to expose Allard for his crimes and kill him. By selecting the “Offer your help‘dialogue guideline, you start the search. From there, visit Sven’s quarters at Vernworth Castle.

You will be referred to Patrick in the Noble Quarter. Make sure you visit him at night, and he’ll make an offer to distract Allard while you break into his house. Accept his offer, then go to Allard’s house and look for one flowery painting to find the Murder report.

Obtain the findings of the bribery investigation

In the evening, go to the Stardrop Inn to talk to Brant. Mention the Myrmecoleon (the alias of the Rose Chateau) and he will suggest where you can find what you need. Head towards the nearby Rift Stone and continue walking west. Near a house you get the Findings from investigation into bribery. Together with the murder report, you have everything you need to prove Allard is guilty.

Unmasking Allard

To successfully expose Allard and complete Wilhelmina’s romantic questline in DD2, you must present the evidence to Captain Brant in a specific order. If this is done incorrectly, Allard is proven not guilty, resulting in the failure of the search. When talking to Brant, choose dialogue in this order:

  1. Hand over the findings of the bribery investigation.
  2. “Look for more evidence.”
  3. Hand over the murder report.
  4. “I will get whatever help you give.”

If the conversation goes as planned, so will Brant offer to help you escape after Allard is murdered. Although the captain cannot participate, he will turn a blind eye to the fate of the guilty party. Go back to the Rose Chateau Bordelrie to complete the quest.

Kill Allard

The final step towards Wilhelmina’s romance is quite grim. Give her the Murder reportand then select the “Please continue offering your helpdialogue guideline. Afterwards, both you and Wilhelmina will end up outside Allard’s bedroom. She will tell you there pin him down. This is where you need to enter the room and use the indicated controls to grab Allard. This will cause a cutscene of Wilhelmina killing him.

Then you must escape through the window before the guards can catch you. Fortunately, Brant’s previous offer comes in handy here. After you have reached safety, you can speak to Wilhelmina again the next evening.

She will thank you for your help, creating a romantic scene and ending the movie Every rose has its thorn scavenger hunt. While this isn’t the end of her romantic questline, you can easily continue while everyone else completes her essential quest.
